About This Product
Visoluten® is a natural peptide complex (A-11) derived from eye tissue, part of the Khavinson Cytomax® line of organ-specific peptide bioregulators.
More About Visoluten
It is believed to support the normal function of eye tissue and healthy vision. Visoluten is taken orally as capsules and is often considered by adults who spend long hours on screens or want to support their eyes as they age.
Why Visoluten?
The eyes turn light into signals the brain can read. The retina at the back of the eye is packed with light-sensitive cells that work constantly and need a good supply of nutrients and oxygen. Eye tissue is under strain from bright light, screens and age.
Areas of Scientific Interest
- Eye tissue peptides and retinal cell activity in laboratory models
- Visual function and eye strain
- How eye tissue changes with age
These are areas of biological investigation, not guarantees of clinical benefit.
Research Background
Visoluten belongs to a family of short peptide bioregulators developed by researchers associated with Prof. Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. Researchers have investigated how short peptides from specific tissues may interact with the cells of that tissue and influence gene activity, mostly in cell and animal studies. Much of this work has been published in Russian-language literature, and we are not aware of published controlled human trials of Visoluten itself, so the research is best read as background rather than proof of effect.
